About the EACA Care Awards

This creative Award aims to recognise excellence in social marketing as part of EACA's overall commitment to promote Corporate Social Responsibility. The main aim of this annual ceremony is to highlight the advertising industry's specific contribution to society by selecting and celebrating the most successfully creative social marketing campaigns.

The Awards cover subjects such as public health, environment, sustainable consumption, public safety, disability, human rights, domestic violence, child abuse, homelessness, education and other similar topical public issues.

The entries will be included in the ACT Responsible Online Gallery and eligible for selection in the ACT Responsible World Tour Exhibition. Advertising Community Together (ACT) is a non-profit initiative promoting responsible communication on sustainability, equitable development and social responsibility.

  • Call for entries: – 14th January - 5th April 2013
  • Judging Round 1: – 8th - 17th April 2013

There are 6 categories in which a creative case may be entered:

4. Public and Private Sector Businesses

5. Corporate Governance (CSR)

MEP Award

The EACA Care Awards for European Social Marketing Campaigns recognise excellence in promoting care for people, resources and the environment. They are judged annually by a panel of MEPs and the winning campaigns recognised at a ceremony held in the European Parliament.

This year, for the first time, the EACA Care Awards has created a special Award to honour the work undertaken by MEPs in support of social, humanitarian or environmental causes.

MEP assistants are invited to nominate their own MEP (or another).  Nominations will be considered by a panel composed of representatives of the European Association of Communications Agencies, the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA), the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) and ACT (Advertising Community Together), who will choose the MEP who, in their opinion, has made the biggest contribution to society in the last year. The winning MEP will be announced on 5th June at the Care Awards ceremony in the European Parliament.

The nominations will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Commitment
  • Impact
  • Creativity
  • Future sustainability

 

The EACA Care awards are part of the European Association of Communications Agencies’ (EACA) overall commitment to promote Corporate Social Responsibility and are linked to the ACT Responsible online gallery and the ACT Responsible World Tour.

Judging information

The jury decided on the winning entries in a range of categories drawn from direct submissions by agencies and through the ACT Responsible Online Gallery.
